I recently did an interview for an article that will be published within the next 2 weeks.  I’m excited to share that on this blog when it arrives.

They asked one in depth question that had me thinking...”Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey”?

As I thought about it, seeing the progress in my journey and where it has placed me is a good feeling.  Times are changing so people with certain knowledge and skill sets are becoming a sought after commodity as technology changes and automates everything.  Looking back on when I first started photography I never thought we'd reach a day where artificial intelligence can automate the process of editing.  I hated the smell of the darkroom, but loved the challenge of mastering the outcome.  While I'm a proponent of AI and how it can be used to expedite creativity as well as make workflows efficient, I’d much rather stick to traditional editing for my photo outcomes with an assist from A.I. as needed. I'm OK with doing some basic work through batches, but overall I like the rawness and the authenticity of playing with light in every edit especially as I recap those moments and attempt to convey that to the audience.

Looking back I'm thankful for my journey.  There's a lot that I've learned about myself, there's a lot that I've learned creatively.  I look forward to the next direction for myself and business.   As I move forward, I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve all of my clients by helping them relive and share their moments or represent their brand at the highest level.   I’m the Chief Creative, Photographer and Owner, but these titles mean nothing unless I serve others.  That's really what this whole thing is about.
